Aion 2 Spacetime Rift Guide: Quests, Rewards, Spawn Times and PvP Tips

[Ephraim]

The Spacetime Rift is currently the most significant cross-faction feature in Aion 2. It becomes available at level 45, allowing players to remain in enemy territory for approximately one hour after passing through. Elyos players can travel from Verteron to Altgard, while Asmodian players can move from Altgard to Verteron. This excursion encompasses quests, exploration, pet collection, and PvP - making it an essential daily routine for players who have reached the level cap.

Spawn Times:

On Aion 2 global servers, Rifts open eight times daily at the following fixed times (UTC): 00:00, 03:00, 06:00, 09:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00, and 21:00. Note that Rifts do not have fixed coordinates; they appear randomly at designated valid locations. When a Rift opens, a server-wide announcement is broadcast, and a purple marker appears on the map - simply follow the marker to locate it.

Quests:

Each faction in Aion 2 has a quest chain consisting of seven Rift-related quests. For the Elyos, the chain begins with an NPC named Mino in Verteron, requiring players to enter Altgard and collect a Withered Armadon's Claw. For the Asmodians, the chain starts with an NPC named Uru in Altgard, with the objective of obtaining a Wandering Klaw's Shell in Verteron.

Quest-givers change as you progress through the chain; simply follow the Regional Quest markers. Be sure to accept all available quests before entering the Rift, as the objectives are scattered across the entire enemy map - entering with only one quest would be an inefficient use of your time.

Rewards:

Each Rift quest grants a fixed reward of 2,000 Abyss Points (AP), totaling 14,000 AP for completing the entire seven-quest chain. Additionally, players receive rewards such as Wisdom Stones, Daevanion Crystals, Bound Kina, EXP, titles, and accessories. Some quests also provide a Kisk Summoning Stone.

Beyond the quest chains, enemy territories contain numerous resources and rewards unavailable in your own faction's zones. The recommended approach is to prioritize completing your quests, then clear any dungeons or outposts you encounter along the way, and finally focus on collecting pet souls. Avoid wasting time flying aimlessly back and forth across the enemy map.

PvP Tips:

PvP within a Rift is governed by War Mode. If you prefer to complete quests without interference, ensure this setting is disabled. Enabling it allows you to earn double Abyss Points (AP) for killing enemy players, up to a weekly cap. Since there is a cooldown for toggling War Mode, decide beforehand whether your goal is to farm AP or focus on PvE content.

Be aware that even with War Mode disabled, enemy guards and NPCs near settlements will remain hostile. Furthermore, approaching a Kibelisk will automatically trigger combat, so it is best to steer clear. Death carries the greatest risk in a Rift: without a Kisk (a portable resurrection point), falling in battle will send you all the way back to your own faction's territory. Upon entering, move away from the entry corridor and place your Kisk in a concealed location before venturing deeper.

Preparation and Resource Management

High rewards in Aion 2 Rifts require thorough preparation. Enhancing gear, using consumables, and covering repair costs all demand significant amounts of Aion 2 Kinah. As the core resource for preparation, it is advisable to accumulate enough Kinah before entering a Rift.

If you find yourself short on kinah, you can buy Aion 2 Kinah in advance to stock up on essential potions, scrolls, and enhancement materials.

Additionally, Aion 2 items obtained from Rifts - such as Wisdom Stones, Daevanion Crystals, and faction-exclusive pets - are highly sought after. You can use these to enhance your own gear or save them for future characters.

In summary, the core rhythm of a Spacetime Rift involves: keeping track of the three-hour respawn timer, entering within the ten-minute window, accepting all seven available quests, securely placing your Kisk, and adjusting your playstyle based on your War Mode setting. Mastering this cycle ensures a steady stream of AP, materials, and pets, making it one of the most worthwhile weekly activities in the current version of the game.
