Making an oval is easy.
Go to your draw, paint or whatever program. Make a rectangle in the proportions that you want - let's say 2 to 1. so to put it on an 8.5X11 sheet - make it 10" high and 5" wide.This can represent 24"X12"
final size.

Now, make an elipse taking your cursor from the tp left to the bottom right. There's your oval!

Print it - do your pattern, then enlarge it to your final dimensions
